     John Byrne, with Marshall Goldsmith, provide the keys to succeeding and managing one’s career in the podcast “Who Manages Your Career”.   A person cannot succeed in corporate America on pure luck or rely on someone else to manage their career.  Developing a strategy, declaring a personal mission, and creating a brand image for one’s self allows a person to effectivly and efficiently manage their own career and work their way up the corporate ladder.  Byrnes and Goldsmith break down these three keys to success so that everyone knows exactly what they are talking about and how to achieve them.  Examples, provided by Goldsmith, also allows the listner to see how mastering these three pointers have affected others’ careers in a positive way.  I learned a lot from listening to this podcast and have gained useful knowledge that I will apply to my own career that will begin shortly.  I know that I must take charge of my career because if I don’t, no one else will.
